WHO BENEFITS FROM THIS PROGRAM?

For Whom it is intended:

Children between 8 and 13 years of age. Medium of instruction is English.
Admission criteria:
·         Minimum Age: 8 years ( or 3rd standard)
·         Maximum Age: 13 years (or 8th standard)
·         Medium of Instruction: English
·         Program Levels:
o   Level 1: Age between 8 to 10
o   Level 2: Age between 10 to 12
o   Level 3: Age between 11 to 13

It is expected that child has at least beginner knowledge of chess/ sudoko i.e. Must know rules of chess, and has played at home at beginner level. We have a beginner rule book for parents to teach them. For level 1 students, first 2 sessions (p1 AND p2) AND 2 weeks preceding it will need parents’ effort to jointly sit with child at home and teach/solve.
In case of specific request, separate sessions can be organized using local tutors.

For Whom it is not intended:
Though as a side outcome of this program, the child will become very good at chess (may even have a shot at 2000+ Elo ratings), but our objective is not to prepare a professional Chess player. Hence our programs do not focus on teaching Chess theories and manuals, but use the situations as exercises.
