About 12 years ago, Sandeep Saxena (44 years), decided to
leave a high flying corporate career, and settle down in a forest village in
Sohagpur. Till then, he had experienced and achieved many things which a common
mind yearns for:
·
Studied B.Tech. from IIT Kanpur, MBA from IIM
Lucknow, Economics from Allearn(Yale program).
·
Had been a 1990 NTSE scholar (with maths,
physics, civics), Science Talent Scholar, Maths Olympiad State scholar, and
consistently high academic performer across school boards.
·
He was awarded by Sh. Atal Bihari Bajpai in 1992
for Academic excellence.
·
In IIT Kanpur, he was the President from 95 to
96, and held many other awards and positions.
·
Worked in Infosys, Cognizant in early days and
then became VP, Asia for Frankin Templeton.
·
Has authored a book “Diary of a Snake charmer”
which is one of the best rated ones on Amazon (worldwide).
·
Taking a sabbatical in forests, he studied
Philosophies, forests and communities and trees and medicinal plants, and a
wide array of subjects which lead to his founding Aranyaani Food Forests (www.aranyaani.in).
·
Avid chess player
In his quest for improving education systems, he realized
that children are going through a routine (classes/coaching) that won’t leave
them competively intelligent or with high EQ.
In addition, modern gadgets won’t let them build those success habits
early on. Once they are already closer to competitive exams, then its too late.
With his insights into Chess and puzzle games and high
passion for children’s progress, he has developed this program. The objective was to use an absorbing and very
enriching game to develop minds in a holistic manner and impart learning
patterns to use across subjects/problems.
Other instructors (who also have similar understanding and
level) also undergo a training to understand the program objectives and
evaluation methods.
